The Sheet Metal Fabrication Process

Before fabricating sheet metal, it is extremely important to take the time to properly design the end product. This usually involves creating sketches or models of the part or product. With a design in place, our team will begin the fabrication process by cutting the sheet metal down to the right size. The sheet metal will then undergo the bending process, also known as CNC forming, in which a variety of different machines are used to clamp the sheet metal and to apply the pressure needed to achieve the correct curvature. The sheet metal is then formed into the required shape and then welded into place. Once the sheet metal has been fabricated into the desired part or product, it can then be finished with the final touches, such as surface preparation, polishing, powder coating, anodizing, passivation, or laser marking.
